IBM has partnered with Boardroom Events on the Midmarket CIO Forum for at least six years. While their proven format continues to grow business relationships, the changes in the midmarket space are fast and furious.
Some of those changes include the explosion of data an organization has to deal with, the prominence the business is taking in procuring business intelligence and data discovery tools as well as the velocity of which cloud solutions are taking hold and significantly decreasing analytics costs – even more critical for midsize organizations.
IBM has never provided a subset of capabilities to the midmarket but rather has always provided enterprise capabilities with a pricing and packaging model that works for the midmarketing – the launch of Cognos Express in 2009 is a great example.
Today, organizations can leverage the managed reporting, data discovery and self service capabilities of the newly redesigned Cognos BI solution now called Cognos Analytics. It is an enterprise solution well know for its BI platform governance, now wrapped in a redesigned and easy to use interface business users will love and still priced and packaged for the midmarket.
